Patent for the Cornet in Bb/A, 1902, by C. G. Conn, Elkhart, Indiana
This 1901 patent introduced the Conn cornet model that was cleverly named the ‘Conn-Queror.’ (The instrument would also sometimes referred to as the ‘Kryl model,’ after the Czech cornet-virtuoso Bohumir Kryl, who endorsed the instrument in 1904.)
This cornet is part of the Joe R. and Joella F. Utley Collection, 1999, at the National Music Museum, Vermillion, SD.
